We used craigs list to find a man to tile our kitchen floors/back hallway/2 bathroom floors/kitchen backsplash and tile the walls behind the bath tub. There was ALOT of cutting involved as we choose 18x18 inch travertine tiles for the flooring and 12x12 in the bathroom. All together I would say it was probably 500+ sq feet of tile, he did the underlayment, layed the tiles, and grouted the entire project for $2000. So I would say it was about $4 a sq foot. On a second note we had someone else quote us $1000 just to tile the bathtub surround area. . . .
